Protein powders are body-building supplements that help to build muscles, aid in their recovery and promote healthy weight loss.
They come in various forms and can be derived from different plants like soybean, rice, potatoes or hemp.
The powders available in the market could contain artificial flavors, added sugar or thickeners which have many side-effects.
So making a protein powder of your own could be easy, budget-friendly and most importantly very healthy.
Here’s how you can do it-
Ingredients-
- ½ cup Pumpkin seeds
- ½ cup Chia seeds
- ½ cup Hemp seeds
- ½ cup flax seeds
- 1 cup of Organic Oats
- 1 tablespoon of Almond or walnut
Instructions-
- In a grinder or food processor, grind oats till it turns into a powder form. Remove the powder in a large bowl.
- Next, take pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, hemp seeds, and flax seeds and grind them separately into a powder form.
- See to it that you don’t over grind any of these ingredients. If you do, it will turn oily.
- In the end, grind almonds or walnuts and mix all the powders into the large bowl.
- Whisk it and your homemade protein powder will be ready!
You can store this powder in a glass jar for two weeks or store it in a refrigerator to increase the shelf life.
